Senior Pastor Allen Smith was ordained as Pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church, commissioned and sent out to the Northland with a small body of believers from the Kansas City Baptist Temple in 1999. Before being sent out, Allen and his wife Jodi were Discipleship Team leaders, involved in counseling and sports ministries, and worked with adolescents in detention homes and drug treatment homes. From 1991 until 1999, Allen preached on the Circuit Riding ministry and was a 1992 graduate of the Shepherd School of Ministry. Allen was raised in the Northland area and attended Oak Park High School and UMKC. He has worked for Kansas City Power and Light since 1980. Allen and Jodi were married in 1990 and have three girls: Kalyn, Ryan, and Brady.
