A place where lives are built.

Mexico City (Day 4)

Monday was the first day that we worked with the children in Vacation Bible School. Each of us took a station and the kids moved from one station to another. We had games and conprods and then we worked our way into crafts. Needless to say, we left the teaching to those who were a little more familiar with the language!

After VBS was over some of us spent time working on the building. (ie. toilets, roof, lighting, etc) Janet was a little concerned that Duane might come falling through the roof, but he was wise enough to run for parts and not get up there in the first place.

We also had a puppet show for the kids, and one thing is for sure…MEXICAN CHILDREN DO LOVE THEIR PUPPETS!!!
All the little children were really cute, but there were a couple I really had to take pictures of. You see the cute little girl that came in with the heavy winter coat. It really wasn’t cold that day but she was really attached to that coat and didn’t want to take it off. Then there is “Pepe”. He is so cute you want to pack him in your carry on!

The pictures are portraying happy times. That’s good. I know that all of you are letting Jesus’ light shine through you to all of the people you are meeting in Mexico. My prayers are with you.
